Nowadays it is well known for the combination of the world's fruit capital, China's cloud capital, and the midland shoes capital. Suzhou has obvious advantages in production factors. 宿州交通设施完善，正加速构建“铁陆空河”现代综合立体交通网络。其境内有京沪高铁、宿淮铁路经过，乘高铁1小时到达合肥、南京，2小时到达上海、郑州，3小时到达北京、西安。自市区出发到达徐州观音机场仅需1小时，合肥新桥机场、南京禄口机场均可在2小时内到达。宿州新汴河航道即将升级，向北距连云港港口仅有220多公里，南部有浍河水运，可直达长江。

Suzhou has a wide range of existing industries. Traditional advantageous industries have a considsiderable scale, such as green food, light textile shoes and clothing, home building materials, machinery and electronics, and coal-based electricity and chemical industries, with high total volume and excellent structure. The foundation of strategic emerging industries is solid, and the scale of digital industry, high-end equipment, biological medicine, new materials, and intelligent manufacturing, etc. is expanding.
Suzhou has perfect transportation facilities and has been accelerating the construction of “railway, land, air and river” modern integrated four-dimensional transportation network. With the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway and the Suhuai railway passing through its territory, it is one hour to Hefei and Nanjing, two hours to Shanghai and Zhengzhou, and three hours to Beijing and Xi'an by high-speed railway. From urban area in Suzhou, it takes only 1 hour to reach Xuzhou Guanyin Airport by car, while Hefei Xinqiao Airport and Nanjing Lukou Airport can both be reached within 2 hours. The new Bian River waterway in Suzhou will be upgraded soon, and to the north, it is just over 220 kilometers from the Port of Lianyungang, and in the north there is Hui River water transportation, which can directly reach the Yangtze River.
Suzhou has a “close&clear” government-enterprise relationship and has created a first-class business environment. We have been constantly optimizing and improving the policy of favoring enterprises by means of implementing the enterprise preferential, awards and other measures. The service institutions, namely the Investment Promotion Centers throughout all administrative regions and industrial parks, are professional and sound, with designated personnel in charge so that a convenient, effective and long-term government- enterprise communication mechanism has been established.
市“十四五”规划纲要提出实现三大目标：“一城”即皖苏鲁豫交汇区域新兴中心城市，“两区”即打造具有重要影响力的皖北承接产业转移集聚区、城乡融合发展先行区，“三基地”即打造长三角数字经济基地、现代物流基地、绿色农产品生产加工供应基地。打造“5+5+N”产业体系：加快传统优势产业转型升级，重点发展绿色食品、轻纺鞋服、家居建材、机械电子、煤电化工等5大传统优势领域；壮大战略新兴产业，重点发展数字产业、高端装备、生物医药、新材料、智能制造等5大新兴产业集群。
The Guideline of Suzhou’s “14th Five-Year Plan” has proposed to achieve three goals: “One City” is the emerging central city of Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong and Henan intersection area, “Two zones” means to build an influential industrial transfer cluster area in northern Anhui and a leading area for urban and rural integrative development, and the “three bases” are to build a digital economy base, a modern logistics base and a green agricultural production, processing and supply base in the Yangtze River Delta. Suzhou is committed to building a “5+5+N” industrial system as follows. We will accelerate the transformation and upgrading of industries with traditional advantages, focusing on developing 5 areas with traditional advantages: green food, light textile shoes and clothing, home building materials, machinery and electronics, and coal-based electricity and chemical industries. We will strengthen strategic emerging industries, focusing on the development of 5 emerging industrial clusters: digital industry, high-end equipment, biological medicine, new materials, and intelligent manufacturing.
